Established in 1944, Escorts Limited as a part of Escorts Group, is one of the Pioneer Manufacturer and Exporter of Agri Machineries like Tractors (25 to 75 HP), & Tractor Parts, Diesel Engines (25 to 60 HP), Gensets (15 – 30 KVA) Gears, Shafts, Gear Boxes, Engine Blocks, Crankshafts, Cylinder Heads, Connecting Rods, Spindles etc.

The Agri Machinery Group commenced its’ manufacturing operations in 1964 in collaboration with URSUS (Poland). Subsequent collaboration with FORD, UK (1971 –1996) and Class, Germany placed us among the leading manufacturers of Agriculture Tractors. With a population of over 1 Million and production capacity up to 98,940 tractors per annum, Escorts Tractors are amongst the largest selling tractors in India where every third tractor is an Escorts brand. We market our tractors under three major brands and sixteen basic models:

Escort (25 – 35 HP, Economy range)
Powertrac (34 – 55 HP, Value range)
Farmtrac (34 – 75 HP, Premium range)

International Operations

Escorts have very ambitious plans to expand the dealers network in other potential countries in the current year. In this context, we seek to join hands with leading Agricultural Machinery Manufacturer / Dealer/ Distributors / Automotive Dealers to market our tractors in their respective countries.

To consolidate our presence in the overseas markets, the company has acquired Long Agribusiness LLC, a tractor distributing company in the USA, recently christened as Farmtrac North America LLC. Over 6000 tractors have been exported to the USA in the last three years.

Another overseas joint venture Pol-Mot Escorts Spolka Z.O.O., Poland, (between Escorts and Pol-Mot Holding S.A., Poland), recently christened as Farmtrac Tractors Europe Sp. Z.o.o., takes care of the assembly and marketing of tractors in Poland and other East European countries. Our tractors in Europe have been homologated for marketing them in all EU nations besides others.

Besides USA and Poland, Escorts is firmly based in Turkey, Chile, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Senegal, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, South Africa , Angola, Benin , Libya , Madagascar , Syria and Nigeria.

Escorts is the first tractor manufacturer in the world which has been awarded TS 16949 Certification by TUV Management Service GmbH in recognition of its quality management system for automotive and tractor for on Road and in field application. The Certification means that the company’s product meets the customers Requirement fully with special focus on quality, Cost and timely Deliveries.

The company has developed highly fuel-efficient engines with the assistance of AVL of Austria and has also entered into a joint venture with Carraro SpA of Italy for the manufacturing of transmissions and axles.
